Simple, Honest Approaches – Haven’t Been in Touch for Awhile

When approaching someone we have not spoken with in awhile, it is best to be honest and tell them right up front that we are contacting them because we have something to tell them about that we think they may be interested in. We can acknowledge that it has been some time since we’ve been in touch, but that we thought of them because 1) “I know you have mentioned in the past that you wanted to make some extra money.”; 2) “I know your son, Johnny, has asthma.”; 3) “You were looking for work at home jobs awhile back.”, etc. Whatever the situation is, when we mention the real reason we are calling first, it doesn’t come across as an insincere attempt to get back in touch.
